Intercoolers + silicon hoses
Had the Airtec fully refurbished intercoolers for a while now. They did a great job.
Just received the Roose Motorsport silicon hoses and s/s clamps. Similar to those in photo but mine are black.
Booked in for 07/08/24 to have them installed.
Just realised the car is also due for a annual oil change. So that will be done whilst she is at the garage.
Thankfully after 12 years of ownership, the to do list (wish list) is getting smaller.

Re: Intercoolers + silicon hoses
Those Roose motorsport hoses are nice. The only upgrade I recommend is switching the hose clamps for the BLACK stainless steel mikalor W3 ones - they look great on the red hoses.

Re: Intercoolers + silicon hoses
Hi Matt. My silicon hoses are black not red mate.
I wanted to replicate the original black hoses.

Re: Intercoolers + silicon hoses
Update.
Today the original inter coolers that were fully refurbished by Airtec were installed. A little bit of modification required as the coolers are now a bit wider than their original sizes.
The Roose motorsport silicon hoses and stainless steel clamps were installed, which are a nice upgrade from the original rubber hoses.
Last week the front passenger window was playing up.
The faulty regulator had to be renewed which is riveted in place with 4 rivets. Had to order the 4 special sized rivets. I thought they would come with the regulator, but no they come separately.
Oil and filter change completed the work for this garage visit.
Should get the car back tomorrow

Re: Intercoolers + silicon hoses
This was the regulator I went for as it was in stock and cost about £25.00.

Re: Intercoolers + silicon hoses
Holy crap.
I thought the car was quick before this garage visit.
With the new inter coolers and hoses the acceleration is just neck snapping responsive.
The garage reckon the coolers are about 20% bigger than standard, plus Airtec have used the latest core technology.
I would never have believed the difference in the before and after performance. Just by changing the intercoolers and hoses.
Wish I had done this years ago.

Re: Intercoolers + silicon hoses
You might have found they standards were of course leaking as well!
Glad its been good! Would have been good to see a dyno before and after!

Re: Intercoolers + silicon hoses
The old original intercoolers were definitely leaking. The tell tale oily bottom corners were all too evident to see.
Another job ticked off the list.
