Well the time has come for my pride and joy to finally go off and have the engine build and 6MT swap done.

This engine is going to everything thrown at it (forged pistons, rods, cams, valves, valve strings, lightened and balanced bottom end, adjustable cams pulleys, tubular manifolds, TTE960 turbos, fuel rails, injectors, 3” maf’s, thermal inlet gasket, carbon fiber apikol intake system, 3” down pipes, alloy water rad, customs huge intercoolers, twin fuel pump setup, adjustable fuel reg, port & polished heads, port matched inlet mani and exhaust mani to the heads,
The 6MT I am using the 0A3 from a B7 RS4 along with coolerworx shifter, carbon fibre prop shaft and AP racing twin plate clutch set up with a TTV flywheel.

We have progress. Engine is out, standard gearbox is off (being collected today from the person that has purchased it).
My prop shaft is off and also sold, in readiness for my carbon fibre prop.
The JXB prop shaft bearing carrier has also been sold.

If anybody want any standard engine parts send me a message.

Gearbox, torque converter and turbo all removed.

The gearbox and TC was collected yesterday by the new owner to keep another RS6 on the road.
Turbos are getting sent to TTE and turned into their mighty 960 turbos

That’s going to be a hell of a quick car.
Will follow the updates with interest.

Everything else has been removed from the block. Apart from the crack, rods & pistons.
Its was taken to the machine Shop today along with my new forged rods and pistons. The bores are being re-honed and the crank, rods and pistons are being lightened and balanced before reassembling.

The bottom end was dropped off at the machine Shop. Then upon inspection they aren’t 100% happy with the boars. The boars are Nikasil coated from factory and they have some signs of wear, so we are having them re-nikasil coated.

I also received another parcel this week with all my valvetrain components.

Last week we dropped off the cylinder heads along with exhaust manifolds and inlet manifold. To have port/polishing & dimples, along port matching the inlet manifold and exhaust manifold to the heads.

This is to allow grater flow through the heads.
Once this process is complete we will then start work on the valves and everything else.

Really Very nice work.
Cannot wait to see the final bhp/torque figures. Expecting them to be immense.

Thank you. We are excited for the finally figures and the details going into this build :rocker:

Like I have always said. I would rather over build it than have to repair something every time I use it

Another update on the build. My heads are being collected next week all done. Including the valve work and everything.

My car is also going into the garage next week to have the underside resto started/done to.

We are still waiting on big end bearing then the bottom end will be finished too.
