Climate control module.

Post by Captain Cowpat » Sat Jun 17, 2023 2:35 pm

Heyup guys, looked through historical posts but couldn’t find anything which answers this… we will all be aware that the button wear on the climate control unit look unsightly. Had a good relationship with a breaker who had a few C5’s and he assured me that I would be able to buy one in perfect condition. Got busy at home and a few weeks went by and it was sold elsewhere :knob: . Seen a few on a certain auction site but unsure on part numbers. RS6 fitted are 4BO820043AR. Seen a few identical with variations on the last two letters. There are some without the switches for heated seats but I’m comparing like for like obviously. Anyone?

You can get a similar one and just swap the buttons. I think steve2003rs6 did it.

Hi. Yes Ben I did. Mine came from Lithuania with good buttons and was very cheap. Some buttons were sent to forum members meTsu and Matty
I still have the unit but it’s obviously missing some buttons.

Ps the buttons are extremely easy to replace.
Pps there is also a brand new unit with seat heater switches missing. It’s being advertised on eBay.

Must admit. Good buttons makes a huge difference to the interior. Same applies to the light switch.

I bought some, but when I saw them in reality I knew I would never put them on my car.
