Alloy radiator

For every RS6 C5 owner you will be please to know that pro alloy will be producing an alloy radiator for our car. Development will be starting around the end of February.

This is going to be a single coolant rad so you will loose the use of the integrated rad that the standard one has. Although the car does also have the two rad at the bottom for engine oil and gearbox oil also.

I arranged the group buy that got the PA FMIC off the ground for the Fiat Coupe 20vt back in the day. It was an immaculate bit of kit and if their standards are still as good as they were back then I’d have no concerns over the quality of the product. 😎

100% agree with you ChrisA

Their standards haven’t dropped I can assure you of that.

I’m also sure they would be willing to do a group buy. Once they have the first one made and tested and fitted/working right.

I have a spare radiator if they need any reference measurements.

They already have the CAD drawing but may need reference for people wanting to keep the integrated oil cooler.

Personally if I was going to purchase a new alloy radiator I would want a like for like option.

We understand that but the car does run a double gearbox cooler.

The oil goes into one cooler then into the other cooler.

Although we are wanting to cater for all people

I'm definitely in and have converted to 6spd manual so I don't need the gearbox cooler. I know of a few others who will be interested too. Any idea of when production will start?

The company that will be making them have sent my alloy rad off to be 3D scanned and drawn up in cad forum. They have also recived all this back already and production will start around the end of Feb begging of March time.

We also require 1 car that would be willing to travel to the company premises and have the rad fitted to their car. So that they can check fitting and fit. They person will also get the rad at a lower price for providing the vehicle.

Do we have anybody that owned a 6 speed manual swapped c5 rs6 that is willing to travel to pro alloy in 15 Rookwood Way, Haverhill CB9 8PB and have the radiator test fitted to there car and get the radiator at a lower price for allowing the use of your car.

If this is something you are interested in then please message me and we can talk more and organise this.

I'd like to take mine on a long drive but from Washington State in N. America to Haverhill would be overdoing it a bit. Trying to keep the miles a little lower on the car nowadays. Glad to see the Radiator is progressing though.

Lol, small world. Did you used to post under Nobby, I certainly remember the name? I posted as OO7, I’m still able to log in and to this day I still think it was the best forum I’ve ever used. I absolutely adored my Coupe, I brought it in my early 20s stock and kept it for around 8 years using it as a daily modding it to 325bhp. I eventually sold it to fund setting up my own electrical installation company.

My old girl (no pictures sadly)
