hey guys,

so both my flexis need replacing. I've searched but all i can find are the cheap £200-300 DPs. With the amount of work involved replacing them, its just not worth the risk. I've seen on some of FB groups where they have been repaired in situ, one guy used v-bands. Thought i may as well replace the cats for miltek ones too. Can anyone recomend a place? I'm in the midlands but would travel to get a good job done. Also what about good garages? If the engine has to come out id want a good garage. thouht about VAG technic but ive just seen the post in gerneral section, seems they're a no go. Seems harder and harder finding decent harages. MRC still reputable?

Thanks

Kully

Unit 20! I used to take mine up to them from the West Midlands. Can't think of a good place locally. I tried to do my downpipes on the works 4 poster ramps, had to give up cause the access was that tight. Grizz will be able to sort you out.

As above. Unit 20. I travel 160 miles each way because I know it will be done properly.
I won’t go anywhere else.
Sometimes (for bigger jobs) I have stayed over in a hotel for 1 or 2 nights.
A good excuse for some great food and drinks.

I bought my C5 with Milltek cat-less downpipes & exhaust fitted by a previous owner, local regs mean that I needed to refit CATs, and that started a 6mth journey of annoyance. Milltek don't manufacture C5 stuff any more, none of the other 3rd party downpipes we could find were going to fit the rest of the exhaust.

We've ended up refitting the original Audi downpipes, with the original CATs & fitting some kind of shonky adapter to cater for the diameter difference in the stock Audi downpipes & the rest of the bigger Miltek exhaust.

I'm now chasing a recurring o2 sensor problem. I love this car, I really dislike the fact that nothing is straight forward.
