Saw that at the weekend.

There's been so many 'these will be worth a fortune' videos over the last few years and it's never happened. Prices are static since I got mine. Nails at £6k and nice cars starting at £10k.

When the moment comes, it's sudden. It was like this for the RS2, too.

Good to see a good review on the cars. Hopefully a bit more objective than those of 20 years ago.
Mat talks about the RS6+ steering rack upgrade again.
This is journalism Chinese whispers right?
I looked before and only found one article mentioning it years ago.
I couldn't find a specific differing part.

I wander how much I can get for my "Hybrid" standard RS6 with the BRV plus engine I got inside :jump:
Can't wait to get back in mine hopefully by the end of the month(or beginning of July) :kissmyrings: :kissmyrings:

Nice to see positive comments from Matt.

I checked how many Ieft the other day and it seems there could be as little as 684 on the road, with loads SORN though - 419!

C5 RS6's are priced from $28,000 to $55,00 here in Australia. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 6922085469

I have been looking at selling some of the spares but if they go up I may want to rebuild the spares car instead. Time will tell.

Still have this guy trying to sell his. His 1st listing was asking $79,990
https://www.trademe.co.nz/3777211448

Others have come and gone (not sold) for around $20k - high mileage and/or imported (not sold new locally)

I dont think these will ever get close to RS2 or even B5 RS4 levels, but I think that they will do better compared to the C6 when it's at the same stage.

That's about £35k? Strong money for a non Plus but it's very low miles.

There's all sorts of absolute toot that seems to fetch a fortune these days. Never anything I own though.

I reckon the RS6 will fetch good money in a few years*. Maybe not RS2 levels because it was such an original car and I suspect production numbers were much lower. Having said that, my M3 is increasing in value nicely and they used to be 10 a penny. You hardly see them now.

Funnily enough, my Passat has probably gone up in value more than any of my other cars because there's such a shortage and prices have rocketed since I bought it.

I wonder what my 1981 Rangey is worth now.

*although admittedly I have been saying this for a number of years now.

Whenever I get comments about my 6 I feel obligated to insert some caveats to the response like "it's great, but the gearbox is made of chocolate". Mostly because I feel that if I don't I'm tempting fate and the car will break.

I got in my 6 yesterday for it’s, not so routine, run around the block. I decided to take a gamble and open her up to a massive 40mph. 😎
I’ve now booked her in with a mobile mechanic to get the rear suspension of so I can get her sorted. Can believe it’s nearly been a year since I took her off the road, what a waist of time and joy. 🤪

I remember you saying that when I bought mine in 2014. :biggrin3:
