I am looking at one of these portable tilting lifts to use when I am working outside and can't get in the garage. I can only find ones rated to 1.5t. Does anyone know if they do a higher rated one as I cant find them. Or the fact the cars will still have 2 wheels on the ground split the weight ?

I've got a 1.5t scissor lift and just lift front or rear at a time...never at the same time.
I will be selling it shortly if you are interested as I was thinking of selling my rs6 aswell, after 6 years of ownership I think it's time to move on to pastures new. ☹

There's various other similar things available too.

For me, personally, I think a lift that only lifts a little, ie not high enough to work on the underside of the car standing up, is of pretty limited value. Scissor lifts don’t appeal to me either because they are pretty much where you want to be working under the car. A 2 post lift is ideal but not the same proposition.

My mate has just got himself a proper 2 post lift. It’s excellent.

It’s the dream.

On the flip side, other than the lift, he has <beep> tools and has to remind himself with “lefty loosey and righty righty”.
I wouldn’t ask him to help him work on my stuff and I dread when he asks for help because he considers the cheapest bodge he can do to be a good job.
