Fog lights

Post by Foxmeister » Thu Jan 30, 2020 10:41 am

Does anybody have the part numbers to hand or know where to buy replacement foglights?

Im needing the pair, as one of the previous owners had the great idea to convert mine to dodgy looking LED DRL's which illuminate with the ignition and annoys the bejesus out of me

Anybody have any spares lying about, i would be interested also, provided working and no cracked lenses etc

ETA- Are they interchangeable with All road or S6's? I wouldnt think so as our grilles are different, but get loads of these showing up and not any for the RS

I had also intended to go this route. However I ended up throwing out the Wagner grills as they were complete over priced chicken wire crap.

This was also a concern as they look pretty flimsy and the design isnt 100% to look at

I'll proceed with finding fogs to replace, or re-wire-disconnect the LED units thats currently there, cheers mate

yeah, I have the wagner grills in the stores to go with my intercoolers (or innercoolers as the americans call them sometimes), but OEM grilles & Fog Lights is better, IMVHO.

Certainly flimsy, I had a bird strike last year in the RS4 and the grill got badly bent without letting bird bits hit the intercooler. The bonus, it was easy to straighten. Plastic may well have broken.

Fog light wise, Mine are gone on both the RS4 & 6 due to Wagners. The OE fog light and grill might be OK in UK but imo, they reduce the intake aperture too much for our climate. I picked up a set of phillips DRL's (from the UK, not available here) which serve both the DRL function plus work well as fog lights and keep the intercooler as open as possible. Have a set for the 6 as well, just have to fit them.
