Throttle Pedal Vibe

"They all do that sir".
I'm not up for pulling the dash out - but while the engine's out, can I get the throttle pedal out and rebush it or is the only realistic option the cable ties to take up the slack route?
I'm probably not up for pulling the whole dash out just to do that. :(

As far as i know, its the brake pedal that gives the issue, and from what i gathered when looking into it, havent seen anything about taking the dash out to do it though, i could be wrong but hopefully it can be done in situ as mine needs done soon also

I mean this : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=109642
But do we mean brake or throttle? I'm now not sure.

Vibration on crap roads comes through the accelerator on mine. It's annoying. It may also be felt through the brake pedal as well but I don't notice it as much.

It's the brake pedal bush that wears. Grizz said it's awkward to do, but he used to get new bushes and do them. Doubt it's a dash out jobby, just the pedal box.

MRC used to fix the problem with a couple of decent cable ties - can't recall what they fixed it to, though there used to be some pics on here I think.

Easy enough job... if you are a contortionist!

I fixed mine with cable ties about 3 years ago, it takes about 10 minutes to do and work very well.

Yeah, it sounds like the cable tie fix is the way to go. From Griss' post years ago, he custom made some replacement bushes - imagine those are long gone.

Im the opposite, i get it more through the brake pedal but can still feel it in the accelerator also, assume they are probably linked by mounting in some way and feel it through both as such

I'll be looking to do cable tie fix, metal probably, and see how that holds up first

Actually, I wouldn’t metal cable tie it.
Nylon cable ties are self lubricating, hence nylon often used for bushes.

Good point, metal could cause corrosion issues further down the line also and i'll have plastic ones lying about, cheap fix :thumb:
