Guess i'm finally a true C5 RS6 owner now as the first failure has come.
Well, I sure enjoyed the 1400km since I bought it in January
I'm about to get the front lifted to see what has gone south.
Any guesses ?
Drippin on rhs, just a bit in front of the wheel.

Mhm... I have read about this horror story previously.. From picture the leak is in the connector on the oil lines. Is this where it usually leaks? I was under the impression that the leak often was on the fitting into the cooler it self(?)
I guess the leak is on the oil line and not the pipe it's connected to?
Big question is now..
How rapidly does this worsen?
Leaving for Easter vacation with the family on Friday with the car(that was the plan)
I do NOT want to drive my wife's 1.8TQ packed with kids and luggage and the S8 just blew an oil leak in the steering rack
What to do

You've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

Always!
Does anyone know if the the line and pipe connector is ok to dismantle, or will this lead to the same as when removing the line from the cooler itself, destroying the threads?
If disconnecting is doable, should it not be an "easy fix" to cut the line, lenghten it AN connector an some line an find a suitable fitting to match the oil pipe? or is that some special Audi-Rs-nothing-else-matches kinda thing?

Yes, it's a combined engine oil and ATF cooler / heat exchanger.

Appreciated
Shop.
And the upper lines are for the ATF an the lower ones for engine oil?

ATF at the top, engine oil at the bottom according to the training manual.

Just replied to you. Classic place they fail - just replace with Teflon stainless hose and self assembly fittings as per my DIY.
