Couple of hard to trace faults

I have a couple of faults with the car (RS6 Plus 2004):

1. Brake light warning comes on sporadically. TTS Roadsport couldnt trace it to anything....the battery however is on it way out - is this connected do you think as it only comes on on start up....low voltage triggering it?

2. Adaptive headlight - again, sporadic..... fault codes:

- 00774- Level Control System Sensor: Rear Left (G76) 28-10 - Short to Plus - intermittent

- 00776 - Level Control System Sensor: Front Left (G78) 28-00 - Short to Plus

They "appeared ok" and we ran out of time to address it - any thoughts appreciated as to (a) what the faults could be and (b) are they capable of being done by a reasonable competent person?

Thanks

Jonathan

For the battery , might be worth checking the condition of the mega fuse under the scuttle . Make sure that it's not corroded and that it's clean . They are a common fault for alsorts of gremlins.

Headlamps I'm not too sure about but there is a potentiometer on one of the lower arms , May be worth Checking that with a meter and the wiring too it.
Shopp Is well versed in that field and may shed more light on the subject ( excuse the pun).

1. Did you check the brake fluid?
2. I'm just getting a new Elsa. The one I've got has half the electrical diagrams missing. Sounds like an easy fix, though.

For some reason I misread that as battery warning light :knob:
