Very exciting LED sidelight topic (might be overselling it)

After my last Ultraleds 501 bulb died (estimated average mean time to failure about 4 hours) I finally decided to try to find a bulb that wouldn't instantly hari-kari. I have tried a bunch of different bulbs from different sources and I haven't been particularly impressed.
I have to say that the Ultraleds ones were particularly sh!t and when I complained about some of them, their customer service was shockingly bad. I just had a look at their site and it appears they've given up on automotive LEDs altogether. To be frank, they were so unhelpful and rude I'm surprised they're even still in business.
Unfortunately, at the time, I had bought a whole bunch of them so I was gratified to see this last one (well, last but one) die right on schedule, a few hours of night driving after installing it.
I set my mind to finding the ultimate 501 LED bulb. No more HongSoiPang or QuiangMarketHappyMong specials... Brand name only... Osram has always been the go-to brand for lighting for me so I'm trying these:

Not cheap at around £15 a pair, but barely a drop in the ocean compared to RS6 running costs. And with a 6 year guarantee. You can see the crappo Ultraleds one that I removed on top of the packet.
Wow that's bright:

I'm glad I went for the cool white. I was worried about it being too blue, but it's fine.
Here it is in the headlight:

What I like is that the beam angle is much wider than the old one.
Here is the other side with the last Ultraleds one in (now relegated to the car bits graveyard):

Also, whoever designed the RS6 headlights should be shot.
