Headlamp Bulbs

Guys,

Which bulbs do I need to replace the xenons? I've got one dipped failing - it's taking ages to come on, and repeated main beam on/off cycles(Pass side)

I popped into Halfrauds and they wanted silly money, and couldn't distinguish the RS6 between an A6 on their system.

Euro car parts list some osram ones for 40 quid.

I'd also replace both at the same time - the colour of them changes over time so it'll probably look odd if you only replace one.
They've got a sale on...although their sales seem to be a bit like sofa wholesalers - but that brings the price down to 30 quid each.

Is it definitely the bulb? They have the high voltage ballasts can also fail so might be worth swapping the bulbs from left to right etc and seeing if the problem persists.

It's still currently working -just

But cheers I will check the ballasts, can't imagine they are cheap to replace.

I have got one bulb that isn't as 'blue' as the other, although it's the one that is coming on fine.

Will get the bonnet open and have a look later.

Thanks Guys

You probably already know this but they work on really high voltage. Best make sure they are off first before fiddling!

Update: tried the drivers side bulb in the place of the one that isn't working properly, and it worked, so its bulb and not ballast

I replaced mine with 5400K Osram Xenarc. They were slightly better white than the stock 4300K. They have been great and working for many years now. Hope I did not jinx myself.
