Newbie questions

Post by Bradders911 » Mon Oct 17, 2016 4:22 pm

Three quickies for you guys - no doubt the first of many;

1. What is the odd looking spring thing around the negative battery terminal ? Scratches the underside of the battery cover thing, nicely.
2. Can the CD changer 6 stack thing be ejected manually - mine is well and truly stuck but is getting power as the orange light is coming on when I hit the eject button, just no action.
3. There is a button below the mirror control switch, I assume installed by the previous owner as I can't see it in the manual or on any photos online. It doesn't seem to do anything at all - any guesses, immobiliser, (nope) exhaust bypass (I wish), ride high adjustment on some fancy Ohlins (big no on that one ), LPG switch over (LOL).......

There's no manual release on the stacker, I've got two of them and they're both full of my favourite albums. You need to hook it up to power to eject... Or destroy the thing.

3) Defo a button? Doesn't pop off to reveal an AUX socket does it? Failing that, get a trim remover and pop that sucker out. Seeing the back of it should yield some more clues.

Yep - just a dumb switch. It's coming out tomorrow. Hope it's not like that button on 'Lost' that Desmond had to keep pushing or the world would come to an end.......

Might be a switch for FM transmitter. Does your radio reception change if you toggle it?
