Right, so i picked the car up on yesterday, gearbox all good so far, there is a problem though.
I noticed today when turning left or right, say pulling out of a t junction, the front wheels seem to scrub or slightly shudder until i start to straiten up.
Does anyone have an idea why, it was ok before, could they have not resembled something properly.
Thanks.

No just a normal kind of scenario pulling out of T junction, so not quite full lock, although I'm sure it would do the same at full lock

I have that as well, I figured it was the center diff binding up?

You sure it's not coming from the back. I get that as the rear dif sorts the rear end out and the tyres fight. Normal for a Quattro mate. If that's what your on about I had that on my S2, B5 RS4 and now C5 RS6.

I thought the front and rear diffs were open on the c5? So only the center diff would bind.

thing is it didn't do it before. I'm wondering if it could be that the drive shaft hub bolts were undone and tightened back up with the car on the ground, which audi say you should not do. The engine removal breakdown states that the drive shaft hub bolts should be removed with the car in the air and a second person holding their foot on the brake to stop the hub turning.....I might undo and do back up then see what happens.....

Or just ask the guy's who did the work how they tightened them?
Does the noise come from both sides or just the one?

Any idea which method they used to get the engine out? You can either separate from subframe and drive shafts and lift it out, or actually drop it out with the subframe and lift the car up.
I haven't personally done the latter, but as it comes out with all the suspension still attached to the subframe, I wonder if the suspension its self has been messed around with?

Yeah, could be that it needs a 4 wheel geo. The scrubbing might be excessive toe.
