I am baffles as to what size unit I can use to replace my rns d navigation plus.

Is it a 7 " unit.
Will I lose the mid display on my dash clocks.

My rs6 has no steering wheel controls.

Who can give me experienced advice please.
As I have a spare 7 inch head unit but concerned about plugs on the back.

Not android, but I fitted a pioneer SPH-DA120 so I could have apple carplay. Plugs at the back are simple, just needs a couple of adaptors. Plus a cage and adaptor for the front as well.

Yes, I did lose the display on the dash clocks.

What exactly do you want an Android for?

If you only need Bluetooth streaming and hands free calling there is options whilst retaining the original unit. I wanted to retain the factory look and also like the way it displays info on the DIS so had a box fitted in lieu of the 6 disc changer. I can stream my music to it and make/receive calls too.

Okay it may be a bit of a compromise in that it doesn't give full control of you music source, but using a Brodit active cradle and having the phone in an easy to access place I find it works well when I'm driving.

Depends on the headunit - but basically, I just got the connects2 adaptor lead that plugs the low level outputs from the headunit into the Bose amp. The acoustics of the Bose setup are a bit odd, so I had to add a fair bit to the bass on the equalisers in the headunit to even things out, but it sounds good now.

Im busy with a tablet install in my C5.

Just waiting on radio-steering wheel adapters from the UK then will finish up.

Have custom made the mounting fascia for the tablet.

How do you find the DAB broadcast quality? I've heard that even with an auxiliary aerial the signal drops out more often than in comparison to a factory fitted DAB aerial which might be meshed into the windscreen for example.
