Recommended Wheel Bearing Manufacturer

Post by R5XVB » Sat Feb 20, 2016 6:53 pm

I have an OSF wheel bearing needing replaced, other than Audi Genuine parts which manufacturer would you recommend from these below?

ECP supplied Lucas / Obis £56 each in stock locally
On eBay, SKF £100 a pair
On eBay, generic aftermarket £24.95 each (item 361391094080)

I had Lucas from ECP in my C5 (fitted before I bought it), I had no issues but it's only done 20K miles (10k with me and 10k with the guy I sold it too) so it's a bit early to tell how long the life will be but should last 80k+ easily

I like SKF, but I'd probably go with the Lucas ones on ECP.

Lucas is only a brand name that ECP now own. Its a cheap bearing in a branded box.
TBH cheap bearings are ok, they just don't seem to last quite as long as the OE spec ones.

Your choice
