Hi all I got my car a few months back, looked on here for various information, always found the place useful. Fitted new brakes/cambelt etc then started on the mods. I've just fitted coilovers all round and new suspension arms on the front. I know they are a big car but was surprised at how heavy it is once i got it on the scales! All good but gutting the pre cats and removing the main cats and all silencers makes the car sound awesome. Unfortunately if you have neighbours within a 5 mile radius there might be a problem, I thought the turbochargers would silence the exhaust slightly... It now sounds like a cross between a nascar and a group b rally car. It definitely seems to keep going after 5500k where the power dropped off noticably in higher gears. A remap and it should be sorted. The last shot is pre coilovers where they feel way too soft for my liking rolling about like a bloody boat

Been there, done it, it's loud, turbos won't really matter, it's the resonance of such long pipes that causes that noise. Take it to H&S or another customer fabricator, they'll sort it. They'll put two massive silencers on with a bypass to straight pipe, if you want it that way. It sounds great with silencers on, still loads of turbo chatter.

Those exhaust tips look like they are from a Cayenne. Have you still got your valve exhaust then Bam?

Yeah, just in the process of putting it on the manual car.

I'll get one tomorrow I left it at work tonight. It does sound awesome but like bam said it's the length of pipe that makes it so loud. I never gave it a thought, I used to have a gt2 with straight pipes of the turbos that wasn't this bad, probably because they were only foot long pipes. It's only to much due to having to leave early for work and starting curtains twitching

It's ridiculously loud you can't live with it. You really want to, but you can't.

I'll knock something up once I get a minute. Really busy at work after the Christmas break.

well spotted, yes off a cayenne. I work at a porsche special so I nicked them out of the parts department

Somebody reported on here a while ago about resonated Millteks with rear silencer delete being the perfect compromise.
