I'm in the middle of putting gearbox back in my car and I've noticed a very small weep on my radiator. As a new one has been quoted at£750+vat I'd like to see if I can get mine repaired and save a bit of cash! So just wondering if anyone can recommend someone.

^^Suspect that radiator is for the early RS6 that have no non-return valve. There appear to be only 2 connections to the radiator.

I've done a bit of research on this as my rad needed changing -
It appears that cars made before Sept 2004 use the cheaper rad (NRF one that Shopp linked to, around £150ish), after that date the rads where changed to a model with more inlets/outlets/connections and as a result cost the best part of £800. Unfortunately for me, my car was produced in November 2004.

I didn't state the obvious - my rad couldn't be repaired....apparently.

The difference between the rads is an extra pipe for the V51 return.
The other rad is common between lots of models, so made in much higher volume, no doubt.
The expensive one seems to be specific to the rs6. I wonder what will happen when they stop making it. Maybe they already have.
I reckon it would be fairly straightforward to devolve the plumbing, but I'm guessing they changed it for a reason...
Mine's got the old plumbing. Doesn't seem to have done it any harm. But then I'm always careful to let the oil cool down.
