Mugello Blue??

Post by Dave McB » Wed Apr 01, 2015 7:34 pm

Im off to look at an RS6 this weekend and im not entirely convinced by Mugello Blue - whats peoples opinions?

Im actually angling at getting a few links to peoples own Mugello blue cars so I can make a better judgement on it before I see the car in the flesh

It's all down to personal preference, I wouldn't choose this colour as it tends to look dirty easily, a bit like black. If I was in the market to upgrade i would look at Sprint blue. Looks good especially with the black optics on the Plus.
Concentrate on getting a well sorted car first and the colour second. If you are a patient fellow get both, something will turn up. Good luck.

I was just the same when I went to look at a Mugello, that was until I saw it up close.. All my cars have been black or grey.. Until the C5 came calling.. It's the best colour imo, really looks the nuts clean.. Not that bad dirty either..

Here's a few pics of mine at Defined Details in Glasgow.

I really like the colour, classy and discrete, and has a great purpley tone when you look up close.

Think its one of those colours that doesn't photograph that well, but looks better in the flesh.

Heh heh, all the Mugello Blue RS6 owners come out of the woodwork. Okay, me too. Love the colour, I think it's the best, and makes the car look understated. Unless of course you don't want understated in which case...

I think Mugello looks best with black optics.

I vinyl wrapped all the chrome on mine. It was very fiddly, took two of us all day and my fingertips were numb by the end but the results were very good.

One day I'll take some pics of it in the sunshine to show how it can look purple(ish) when the sun hits it just right. IMO silver wheels look best with Mugello though.

It's a stunning colour in the flesh and a great contrast to the silver accents on most models.
