Transmission limits - what torque/boost are you running

Transmission upgrade is scheduled for next winter (either beefed up Tiptronic, or 01E manual swap).

Until then, I want to determine what level of torque (particularly low end, since turbos are fully spooled up before 3k rpm) or boost I can subject the stock tranny to.
Obviously the most limiting factor of the RS6 (since the internals of the tranny are essentially standard fair 5HP, with the exception of larger torque converter (and associated larger bell housing).

Since stage 1 tunes already allow 18 psi, I would guess this is what I will keep it at for the low rpm range (up to 3.5k rpm), and then gradually raise torque (thinking 22 psi from 5k on and holding (if the engine allows us to).

Who is running STRONG/tuned/upgraded turbos (for example Loba) on the stock Tiptronic? Boost and or Torque curves/logs?

We will tune the TCU as well.

From memory stock torque is 660Nm, and MRC limit to about 800Nm to avoid knackering the box, and I run 880Nm on an uprated box

800 Nm is 590 ft*lb.
What does "MRC limit" mean?
What does your torque curve look like?
Ditto boost curve?

Stock=Nm @ rpm: 560 @ 1950

What does your torque curve look like?
Ditto boost curve?
1) Thanks for the maths - I'm too young to remember the old numbers!!
2) MRC=MRC Tuning, winner of numerous Audi Tuner awards and all round good guys. "Limit" - verb meaning to well....limit?? So "MRC limit" means they don't allow the torque to go higher..." Cunning stuff this English (but not as clever as maths!)
3) My torque curve looks like.. don't know really... a small mountain?? Oh OK, copy attached though I'm not sure it's the latest one

I meant: the dyno chart was done with stock turbos? Or upgraded/larger ones?

It doesn't matter, it will still implode with stock levels so why not just map it like you hate it. It's gunna die at some point anyways.
I'm running 848Nm on the tiptro, incidentally, unless you run a twin or triple plate on the 01E manual it won't hold much more torque, I'm running 869Nm on that one. The best driveable single plate setups can't hold anything after 900Nm. So don't expect to have a driveable car AND run much more torque than a tiptro, meaning, you have to wring speed out with HP at top-end, something these motors don't like, much.
So, with a 01E run a twin/triple plate or go home. Those are an arse too, running in slip mode a twin/triple will probably only cover 6000k - 8000k at £1200 a throw. Plus it'll probably shunt the drivetrain A LOT.

If you want Loba HP/torque curves go and find "dubbed up Daz".

If the stock Tiptronic 5HP24A can last (no abuse) on 550 lbft (750Nm) or even 800 Nm, I can live with that.
We are normally use 7200 rpm as redline for the 5 valve Audi valve trains. Is the RS6 Cosworth different? Rarely seen anyone doing it, but likely because of the tiny compressores falling flat on their face starting at 5.5k rpm.
We expect to have to pull back (even so turbo will easily be able to hold boost). Need to google 'dubbed up Daz'.

Search with 'dubbed up Daz' didn't bring up anything useful.
Tried to find some dyno charts for RS6 on Loba 650, not much there either. Most are jsut dabbling with stock turbos.
Search on the MRC website also only stage 1 stuff for the C5.

I guess I will revisit once we have the first base tune logs in, and start adjusting for 'not breaking the tranny too quickly'. TCU tune hopefully also helps with cutting the wear on the clutch packs down (firmer shifts, less 'slipping' time), and increased line pressure (increased holding torque). Obvious risk: abuse will quickly crack the drums.

Forget Loba, they're a ballache to deal with. Try TTE. MRC have built stage 1-3 C5s as well as a manual conversion, just call them.
The TCU tune isn't going to reduce wear on the 'box, mucking about with the TCU too much will just make it drive like a bag o <beep>, you can make it change quicker but it's brutal, probably causes more damage. It's really just shift points, rev limit and TC lockup, although, the latter might be a combo of TCU/ECU. I'm sure someone will confirm or deny soon... if they can be bothered.

Don't want to bother those above mentioned (I have not business for them, so try not to pick their brain under false pretense).
Only looking for some 'public domain' information about how others with large turbos have set up their cars.
I have the same turbos on my 2.7T, actually hope to start tuning today (need hook up wideband O2 setup to feed signal to ECU for logging). This one is 01E, but here I have to deal with (weak) stock rods (not sure what I was thinking when I had the engine on the stand for such a long time and NOT put stronger rods (and new bearings, etc) in). So similarly have to cap boost/torque (even put 4 bar MAP sensor in to be able to run 26 psi) to give the rods a fighting chance. On base tune (low boost, no timing, on rich side), logged 450 HP. Haven't installed the meth pump yet, so will tune for straight 93 (US) octane and therefore don't expect that peak HP at redline (7200 rpm) will be much more than 550 HP.

Since I have not yet seen logs/charts of RS6 with larger turbos yet, I go with the above assumption for now (no sense revving if tiny turbo is out of breath at 5.5k).

Well, Daz is running 1.22bar for 570ps and 892Nm - the graph is there, look at it. K04 house with hybrid components.
