Hi all, I just changed the n/s front window mechanism, now, when I close it window, when it's nearly shut it lowers 100mm, it's like a safety system is acting but out of sync with the window position, can this be re set, or have I done a schoolboy on the install? Cheers.

I suspect a school boy on refitting, when you took it apart did you mark the position of the frame adjusting wedges? Also did you buy original mech or eBay special ?

hold the button down for 10 secs. Then up for 10 seconds.

Or the other way round. Can't remember.

Haha, sorry shopinit, I thought that was a wind up, so I didn't try it til today. 10 secs up, 10 secs down, cured it!!! Thanks a lot mate. I will never again doubt the wisdom of the forum!!

Never had to do that when I changed mine, good call Shop.

What caused you to change the actual mechanism?

Mines packed up, see attached pic...

Ebay are selling the wires for a C5 A6, will that do he job??

Has anyone got any part no's for what needs replacing? Thanks
