Best Tyres to use

Hi all
I need to change both rear tyres on my 2003 RS6 C5, I have 255/35 R19 96Y Avon ZZ3 tyres, can I mix tyres? I dont like doing this but I'm struggling to find some ZZ3's round my neck of woods, they all have ZZ5's.
I've only recently bought car, so Avon's was not my choice. I've also headed that mixing tyres on a 4 wheel drive car can stress diff and gear boxes because of tread pattern.
Is this true?
Regards
Mike

I have vredestein , ultrac sessanta on my rs6 and 200q , seem very good to me , great in the wet and the tread pattern is class,i had avon zz3 on my v8 saloon and they were ok , but poor in wet weather.
There is /was a previous post regarding tyres on here , seems some choices also cause rubbing issues with the suspension[vresdestein being ok], tyre mixing is ok as long as the axel set are the same make and spec.

Everyone else will say Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2. No rubbing on the nobbly bit, good wear and they stick like glue in wet or dry. Someone back me up.....

Super sports... I need to burn through the tosh I've got on mine though before I fit a set! So possibly not the greatest recommendation

In that order.
Don't put budget tyres on a 2 ton 500hp car.

Super Sports in Winter by choice, that's funny.

I've just had PS3s fitted which replaced PS2s.

No they don't. The PS3 are a completely different line to the PS2 which are still current.

Yeah, the tag line tells you everything...
PS3 = For sport-oriented vehicles and high-powered saloons
PS2 = For vehicles with the highest performance
Sounds like PS2 is an upgrade from the PS3... Maybe only suitable after a remap.

I drove throughout winter on them and on a lot of snow, on 275 PSS rubber. Enjoy is all I have to say!
