one less rs6+

Post by rich79 » Sun Aug 17, 2014 2:28 pm

Hi guys and girls dont post much but float about a bit was too embarrassed to tell you earlier on but here goes. Was driving to aitp last sunday morning. I had a blow out or aquaplaned still not sure ended up going across 3 lanes down embankment though trees and a fence car is a write off. Gutted is a understatement struggling to post pics some on audi owners club on Facebook me and passengers ok think it would have been different I think had we not been in a audi

Fecking hell, the conditions were shocking last Sunday, a one point I considered abandoning. Glad you and your passengers are okay and hope the insurance pays up pronto so you can get back in another quattro

Jayzeus!! Lucky escape there, thank feck everyone's ok

What tyres were you running on? I only ask as my Contisports were shocking in the kind of conditions we had last Sunday ie very heavy rain and lots of standing water; they'd aquaplane like a surfboard; got rid pretty quickly

At least you and the passengers were fine, did the airbags deploy?

I didn't see the fence post sticking out of the arch behind the tyre the first time I'd looked either, wow a very close call there!

Really sorry to hear that chap and you are in one piece so better than a kick in the head. As possibly the first person on here that put the PSS on the 6, I mentioned many times on here that they could be bloody hairy in the wet if you were driving hard/not to the conditions, which is most of the time for me.

I was genuinely happy to have them off the car as the dry/warm performance just didn't balance out the cold/wet performance for 75% of their lives in the UK. It was fun in the wet but the novelty wore off and madam wasn't overly happy on them.

Hi footers the difference in dry and wet was shocking had new boots on front and had it 4 wheel aligned less than a week and new pads. Was shocked at how quickly it whipped across the motorway. Rear axle had snapped not sure if this happend on motorway or when it went though trees. My mate that was in the car at time works at northampton hospital so travels m1 everyday said the was a big scratch in road going in a arc off the motorway suppose I will never know insurance still hasnt looked at it yet is sky insurance a site Sponsor
