Rs6 more reliable than my rs5

Post by johnny11 » Wed Jul 23, 2014 11:11 pm

Sorry haven't been here for a while since passing on the rs6 and getting a rs5.
Well all I can say is I had my rs6 for over 7 years and now had the rs5 for 6 months, and the rs5 has broken down more times in 6 months than the whole of the time I had the rs6 (for ref only failed once due to alternator) I thought with new technology things get more reliable? It's just shows you the c5 rs6 is a great in my opinion.

Since getting the rs5 in February, it's been back to the dealer twice to have a new drivers seat fitted. Completely broke down in April on a dual carriage way and had to be flat bedded to the dealer where they said it was a faulty manifold sensor. Yesterday morning it would start, and when trying to turn over could smell petrol, so audi assist came out and they reckon the injectors are fooked, so been recovered to dealer again. It was due in with them for a service tomorrow so no doubt I will get a call tomorrow with a diagnosis. But in the mean time I have a s4 to play with, these v6 supercharged engines are quite rapid.
