Well I'm looking at booking my next trip to the Ring,
Just wondering has anyone here taken their RS6 round it? if so how well did it to?
the reason i'm asking as i see the RS as a motorway cruiser, so i know getting there would be great, but I'm not sure how well a car it will be to go round, I'm thinking not great so i'll just get a cheap toy for the weekend.
but i'm happy to hear what people say, if it's a fantastic car and comes into it's own i'll definitly take it then.

Hi ,i went last year in the 6,southampton to dover across to Calais then on to monaco , venice to nurburg ring,i also did Stelvio Pass, Fluela pass ,Route Napoléon,some german autobans.
I did 2 laps in the eveing, where i stayed the b and b owner gave some advice ,ask the local car owners for passenger lap german plated cars.
Got a ride in aston martin v8 vantage and he averages 8 mins a lap ,did my first lap come back in let the car cool down got another lap in a Carrera 2 striped out ,roll cage etc.
I took out track day insurance ,cost £140, 48 euros 2 laps, had a great time but in my opinion the 6 is not a track car hope this helps.
regards john.

Cool pic, i bet in the wet especially these cars would come into their own.
I went for a very late night hoon with a friend who'd just got a prodrive scooby, we had the same opinion as you, taspland, that it was a motorway rocket and the scooby would loose me on the tight twisty bits but it surprised us both. These cars are more capable than they seem. I think the nurburgring has to be done at least once!
