Bluetooth music options?

Hi All,

Not strictly for just the RS6, but what bluetooth music upgrades have you all tried?

I currently use a 3.5mm jack into my phone, but this is starting to annoy me. Have looked at a few modules on amazon.co.uk, but thought I might find out if anyone can recommend some ideas.

Using an RNS-E at the mo.

How much do you care about sound quality?

The plug in ones on amazon do have poor reviews for noise. I would want high quality.

That's the issue. The ones I've tried have always sounded decidedly 12 bit. I suspect they use cheap DACs and everything sounds horrible. To me at least. Forget the xcar link.

I wonder how good the Dension one is.

The Dension does sound like the best quality route. Perhaps there is a good plug in someone has found?

I've just come across this:

Could be interesting.

That could work, would be nice if it just happened to use a 12V wall wart.

I think I will get one of those, would be great to mount that just under the right spot.

Bumping this back up because I bought one of these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aukey-Bluetooth ... QIKGCE7940

And it is insanely good value for money.

It could be a real cheap option for anyone wanting to add BT music streaming at decent quality (sounds good in my cans and through my home amp). I'm gonna get another couple to put on my AV receiver and maybe in my M3. The xcarlink in there sounds poo, even when connected with the connector.

If you could be bothered to open it up and solder extensions to the mic and buttons, you could have BT phone comms, too.

Did you ever try the Sony one?

Hello Guys
I am fed up with my plug in hands free gizmo. I have a Belkin, the sound quality is rubbish and I continually have to retune the damn thing. I like the look of the Sony but it needs an AUX or RCA in. Is there one in a C5 RS6 and if so, where?

I'm totally useless with anything electrical so please bear with me.

Chris

Yeah, you can use the aux-in on the TV tuner with a Kufatec adapter or similar.

Never looked at the Sony again. That Aukey does look a bit of a bargain
