Trying to identify what this connection (pink connector ends) is for which sits under the plastic cover that clips over the power steering fluid reservoir. Was giving the engine bay a bit of a clean and it appears that one end has been severed. Odd thing is that it is not causing any problems to the car, which is going in for it's service next week, be good to know in advance.

Bit of a mess in there. All those connectors are supposed to be in a holder.

Not sure what that one is. Looks like it might be going towards the fan or something. What are the colours on the wire? Looks like orange and orange / white?

Hi Shop, thanks for the reply, the wire colours are in the pic. It's true there is a bit of a mess under that plastic cover. Never seen a holder for it on my car they've always been bundled up inside the plastic cover space, be interested to know if that's a part I should order. The plastic cover is really badly made and its the second one I've had due to that weak joint which has broke twice where it clips to the reservoir.

The car was in for a big job recently, cam belt and the works and a new rad so it may be this wire is a victim of a poor refit. I'll ask the garage when its in next week.

15 months into ownership and still loving it, and hating it too....would I sell it though? no chance

It looks like it could be for the headlight washer pump.

Cheers Shop, I'll have a look in the morning if it's not hurling it down. See what you mean about tidy looking under that cover, definitely a bracket missing on mine!
