Filthy beast

Post by Weiß-sechs » Mon Nov 25, 2013 2:26 pm

Anyone else's RS6 Avant get completely caked in grime within a short distance?

Mine was freshly washed first thing Sunday morning only to get back from a relatively sensible 30ish mile round trip looking like I'd been performing donuts in the local pig farmers muck ruck :dung: !

Conditions were pretty good on the M6, dry tarmac, then a few miles on A and B roads which were a bit grotty admittedly but the beast seems to get caked more than I'd expect.

Got the standard 19's on at the mo, no spacers so the wheels aren't closer to the wings so bit confused as to why the "flanks" get dirty so easily :?

Anyone else notice theirs gets unduly filthed?

Yep, that was my first thought but logic says that the wider the arch the more crap they'll catch :?

Still, glad I'm not the only one

Oooooohh...........that's dirty!

Mind you, looks like salt more than anything, do they salt the roads in your part of the world? My OCD wouldn't allow that much salt to be sitting on the paintwork :x

Nice stance by the way

Mostly sand with some salt mixed in. Whenever they throw stuff on the roads in winter and it melts the spray coming off the cars in front is highly liquid mud. Literally brown. So it's been much dirtier than this. Carwash takes ages here, you only find hand washes by the usual immigrants which do a good enough job but you need an hour at least. And when you head out after 2 miles it looks about the same as it was so...
