DID YOU MEAN WARRANTY DIRECT? OR IS THIS SOME NEW EASTERN EUROPEAN COMPANY WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT?

IF THE FORMER, THEN HAVE YOU TRIED SEARCHING?

lol, its been a long day already!

Yes it is WD I am talking about. Seems to be a bit of a mixed bag TBH. For £276 it is probably a punt worth taking, a bit like ownership of an RS6 really :-)

thanks mate.

everything excluding turbo's.

as my car is over 100k miles they pay 50% of the parts costs and 100% of the labor. excess is £50

Seems like a reasonable offering, i have attached the policy document in case anyone has got a free 12 hours to read it :-)

Arf..it never ceases to amaze me just how many people take the bait. For the record OP, the only warranties worth having are either audi mondial or inchcape imho. The latter means that unless you want to take it to inchcape audi dealer its pay upfront and claim back.

If you cant get either then its slush fund my friend. They are not going to pay out in exchange for 200odd quid from your good self.

Are you sure £276 is not just for one months cover? I had quotes from both warranty direct and warranty wise both were well in exess of £1000 plus and as you say they only cover 50% of the parts if your car is over 100k
The chap from Warrenty direct was quite pushy to get a sale as most "salesman" are! He said it was a comprehensive policy and covered everything and proceeded to go through an exhaustive list of items, I asked him about gearbox coverage, clutch packs are NOT covered for a start or any failure associated with them. I decided to put the money in a fund in the end as I didn't think there policy was fully comprehensive and wouldn't cover me if the inevitable happened. It's a shame they don't tailor a policy for just the expensive parts gearbox, turbos, engine, and price it accordingly.
The bottom line as far as I'm concerned is there are many people who have a policy with these companies and who have gone to make a claim only to be told sorry it's not covered, how annoyed would you be if you paid £1000 plus only to be told this? Not only have you spent the policy fee you still need to find the money for the repairs.
It's an insurance policy and like all insurance policies if they can find a get out clause they will!!
KEEP YOUR MONEY PUT IT TO ONE SIDE! DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM.

Just be aware of the circumstances under which you can try to claim on the policy.

Basically looks like you have to have a breakdown & roadside assistance company can't fix it.

Check the policy details carefully.

Seems rather like the AA policy ( which has/ had a £600 limit , but costs a lot less )

There have been mixed reports on claims. My experience on DRC repairs was positive, but would not have been covered by this policy.

Best of luck.

Just taken the WD after checking the internet foe weeks and asking around and reading all the pro's and cons

My car has 44k indicated, and with Franchise cover for 2 years we agreed on a price of £1400, this like most doe not cover consumable items but breakages

I met with my local Stealer (servisce manager)who said they had dealt with WD and found them to be helpful and reasonable

Had my inspection today, this is a pre inspection due to the type of car

If I pay for Warranty that's what I get and if people then muck me about after that, then I start throwing people out of windows

Will keep you posted
