HID Conversion Kit (H7)

I bought a HID conversion kit for my Camper, but it was the wrong one. I have a feeling it is Audi fitment, as it is a H7 conversion kit.

If anyone is interested its a VIP HID kit, 6000k (I understand this is the best one to get, super bright without daft blue tinge), H7 fitment, brand new, everything included in box.

£35

Inbox me if interested.

You not tempted to slap the kit on the rs6?

To be honest I did briefly consider it, but the lights are pretty bright as it is - not sure what they are, xenons or something i guess.
If I don't sell them I suppose I could.

Hi - anyone know if these will fit into the fog lights?? Just checked the manual and it doesn't list the bulbs - just tells you to take it to Audi :audibash:

I guess they are H7 - but it would be nice to know!!

This seems to suggest H7 http://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/5928- ... ight-bulbs

Also found several threads suggesting that EKTA states H3 but when folks have got in there they 're H7!! Looks like they are H7 from 2002 onwards...... http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?p=15004258

Shop - can you confirm what EKTA says Please??

OK - Shop has confirmed bulbs are H7 - and I have done a deal with Sulli - so now all I have to do is fit them when they arrive and take some pics to make you envious of my extra bright DRL's!! That may take a week or two, but I will do it when I can!

AFAIK the only requirement is that "Anyone retro-fitting DRL to a vehicle [.........] must not use them so as to cause uncessary dazzle or discomfort to other road users".

Providing they are pointed properly they shouldn't be a problem IMHO - if they turn out to be too bright in use then I guess I'd better keep the standard H7 bulbs!

Won't plod think you are driving around with your fogs on like the Saxo boys and tell you to turn them off?

Just found this.
Under Regulation 27 of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 it is an offence for fog lights to be used so as to be lit at any time other than in conditions of seriously reduced visibility. You might be getting a few fines doing this Dave.

He should be fined for having the idea in the first place :thumb:

I'm not using them as fog lights but as DRL's. If I turn them on as fog lights the rear light comes on as well.

Plenty of modern cars use fogs as DRL's - obligatory on much of the continent.

Pretty sure the 1989 regs have been amended at least twice, and I suspect the DRL regs will have over-ridden the restrictions on fogs as per above. Can't be bothered to search!

Never been mistaken for Saxo-man in my life - anyway, isn't Saxo a stuffing for turkeys??
