Sounds good. Was it low on ATF then?

Any MIL on from the gutted downpipes?

Very jealous mate, supposed to collect mine at 5pm tonight but it wasn't finished, and didn't finish work until 8.30. Was so disappointed had a proper school boy strop. Monday cant come quickly enough! Enjoy your car, looks very nice.

Gutting the downpipes usually gives you a light even with pre cats left in. A quick map will sort that out. Glad you have got the car back and hope it is ok. NOW GO BURN THEM TYRES UP!!!!!!!!!

The MIL light will come on eventually, dependant on your driving. I bet if you scanned it the errors would come up anyway, even though the light isn't on.

NB it's not really a quick map though. MRC stage 2 is needed.

As I understand this post, you've had the cats gutted, but left the precats in place in the downpipes - is that correct?

Certainly different, and I'll be honest, not sure it's the way I'd recommend. Main aim of gutting the system is to allow the turbo's to spool quicker, and you've left the biggest blockage near the turbo's......

Still, as long as you are happy then I guess that's great - so well done!!

As MrPerc asked, have you had the downpipes gutted or the actual cats? I didn't read your first post properly ( suprise suprise).

Yep - there's lots of scrap value in the innards of cats I understand - that's why metal thieves regularly rip them out!! See http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/se ... theft.html

At some point you'll need to think about MOT - really don't know if it will pass with no cats and with pre-cats, but I would doubt it.
