What wheels for an RS6

Post by pimpinyourmum » Sun Jun 30, 2013 10:01 am

Apologies if this has been done before but seeming as I'm going to replace my tyres I'm considering changing the wheels at the same time.

Any recommendations on what works well with the RS6 shape (accepting its personal taste of course)?

I've seen plenty of wheels that look nice but I'm unsure they will work with the 'heavy' sides of the car.

Currently toying with some Bentley GT wheels, BBS, or I've seen some called 0.06's IIRC which looked interesting.

I've googled plenty but doesn't seem to be as many RS6's with anything other than the more obvious choices...

The best looking non-OE wheels on the RS6 are bam's HRE, footer's OZ and the classic MTM bimotos IMO and in that order.

I'll be very interested to see what chunky's new wheels will look like on the car. I'm expecting great things.

The Bentley wheels would look stupid I believe. BBS are odd looking on the RS6, not really suited to it.

All IMO obviously, as is any opinion on aesthetics.

I always like BBS LMs, staggered, on any car, and I think they would look good on a 6.....

I personally thin kthe BBS LM's are one of the finest wheels ever designed. Not sure they are right for the 6 though - bit too intricate.

I used the search function before posting and just got pages and pages and pages of unhelpful 'stuff'; back.

Anyone know what wheels these are? They look tasty i think.

I like these too but not sure what they are:

Audi OEM :)

Think i might fancy something with a simple design and a concave pattern...

The white one has Audi A8 s-line wheels on, I believe. They look a bit low rent, IMO.

The B7 RS4 wheels look good on an RS6. I'm not a big fan of mixing models / eras though.

Search on here for footer's supertourismo.

I like your sentiment, its on my level of humour,

I must have some taste though as I have a C5

I think wheels are a personal thing as some Ive been looking at are just Chav in my opinion!
I'm loathe to opt for none OEM wheels but I need a second set and wheels to fit a C5 are few and far without spacers

What's your take then Shoppinit without lowering the tone of the car as if I agree my mind is
always open?

Really difficult to find wheels that suit the 6. Stuff that looks great on other cars looks all wrong somehow. I've said above what I think suits. Bam's on HRE is superb but eye-wateringly expensive. I'm expecting good things from chunk's new wheels. Unless he has to sell them to pay off some crazed pimp in Vegas.
