Hi Folks,
I have a slight oil leak coming from what I think is the oil coolant pipes.
As part of the repair, I may as well change the oil and filter.
I may get this beast for working more than a week or so...happy bl00dy times..
Could be close to trade in time...

Just been getting mine replaced, picking it up tomorrow. Beware that there are quite long lead times for the oil cooler pipe s. mines been off the road for 2 weeks.

Grim.
Beware the connections to the radiator side, as mine took a gas axe, brute force and saw to free it
I'll always have a go at things first, but that job I would have gladly paid someone else for.
Shan times

You don't say where the leak is. Everyone's assuming the oil / ATF cooler which is where it generally leaks.

Hi Sweggie /
Shop
Having taken off the plastic protective engine casing, I checked the sump and cleaned all around the undercarriage. The leak is coming from the front right drivers side of the vehicle. There are two stainless steel pipes, that although are slightly corroded, I dont think that is the issue. The leak seems to be higher up and is dripping on to the lower of the pipes...
Hope that makes sense?!?!? - Have to be honest guys - after a £7.5k repair at Unit and replacing the N75, I thought I could at least have drove it..starting to become a right pain in the

If the box was changed then the engine will have been out. Could be that something hasn't been tightened up properly or was damaged. Have you spoken to whoever did the job?

Hi
Shop - I will speak to Grizz. The leak is coming out at the bottom of the oil cooler (i think)

then it might be the oil cooler pipe which is made of plastic, when i had the engine out i've replaced it with the Bufkin one made of aluminum.

That's a coolant pipe, though, not an oil pipe.

Guys - how easy is it to replace coolant pipes should the need arise? I have the car booked in with an Audi / VAG specialist here in Glasgow?
