Anyone de-badging their C5 RS6? I want to do the opposite

I know that the 'in' thing here is to de-badge but it's been done to my car before I bought it and I want them back on.

Could someone please give me some measurements as to exactly where the front and rear badges go?

Also, anyone de-badged and have spare badges?

Also looking for a good front lower grill if there is one spare.

Cheers

MG

I agree with you, I actually think debadging is retarded myself but I am entitled to my opinion ;). Don't know why people want these cars to look even more sheep-like. "stealth", "Wolf in Sheep's clothing" etc. Meh, just buy a SR-71 if you want stealth.

In answer to your question, mine are still firmly attached to my car I am afraid.

Fixed. Badges or not, they do indeed look boring as feck...

Agreed, they don't make you look that much as they drive past. One drove past me yesterday on the way into work. Not that inspiring!

Agreed, debadging isn't for me, especially the Audi rings.

To be fair, (and I agree my C5 was better looking) I've had loads more comments on the C6 than I ever had on my C5. Three American tourists in Warwick last week, stood outside it taking pictures, I went over and they asked me to fire it up. There was a guy in a van that pulled up saying 'light it up mate', three blokes that mouthed 'RS6' as I pulled up, there are lots more. The C5 didn't get that sort of attention, and the C6 colour is dull compared to my sprint C5. A majority of the people that have commented on it have been as a result of the ceramics though, they look utterly ridiculous and over the top on a ‘family car’.

The saloon is better looking by quite some margin over the avant with the C6 IMO.

Ok front badge (measurements to bottom left corner of badge) is 23mm from the inside of the silver trim to the left of grill and also 23mm from the top of the horizontal silver grill trim.
DSC02870.JPG
Again measurements to bottom left of badge, 30mm from tailgate left edge and 75mm from top of silver trim strip. There is a horizontal crease in the tailgate the red part of the badge sits approx 1-2mm above this.

Hope that helps.

The amount if cars that have their badges in the wrong place is ridiculous!

Gets on my nerves!

That's just what I needed. Thank you :-)

This is definitely a personal thing. A bit of a marmite topic

All positions and deletions are cool with me, just not what I'd go for

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, MY FUCKEN TEETH.

Oh FSS, Friday rant.

Badges on cars are bullshit. Full stop. It's advertising and it's not even advertising for the owner, you know what your car is, you bought the fucken thing.
Walk along a road full of parked cars and have a real good look at allllll of those model designations, they all look sh1t, for the most part (99% of the time) they're all in the exact same positions for all cars and the material used for this lettering/numbering is absolute tat (even on our car, on the rear it's a bit of plastic with a square of red electrical tape). And they all say nothing!!! I mean, Qasqai 1.4 - WTF does that really mean? It's just plastic covered in fake chrome and it's stuck on with industrial snot. I hate it and any manufacturer that chooses to let their car stand alone without it, gets a massive thumbs up from me, why?
Because when a designer is sat a drawing board, the last thing he/she is going to think about is the model designation, if fact, it's probably never been added by them, that'll be the handiwork of some gormless marketing/branding <beep>, manically stabbing way with a blackboard marker on a final draft like a corporate Norman Bates. <beep>.

The model designation used to mean something and it used to be significant, they even drilled holes into the panelwork and bolted that sh1t nice and tight! A car doesn't need a badge, it IS the badge, it is the product, the badge cannot exist without the car but the car can do just fine without a peice of plastic tat. If you need to see a badge to know what the car is, then you're American or not a car nut. Besides, 95% of the cars on the road don't even need designation, they're so generic that it's not worth knowing, it's a pointless exercise, they're little more than whitegoods on wheels - Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 - really?
If you need a badge to remind you what you drive or to let other people know what you've arrived in, then I'm gunna say that you've missed the point. How many badges are there on a Veyron? I don't walk around with 9.5" embroidered down the inside of my trouser leg, and if I did, it'd be cuntish.

A badge does not a car make.
