Morning folks,
This might seem a 'weird' one, however here goes.
As you know I got a stage 1 remap less than 3 weeks ago. I dont know if I am remembering this correctly, but it feels as if the car had more of an immediate 'pull' prior to getting it done..
I dont know if my expectations were higher in terms of performance for the stage 1, however im not convinced overall car performance is better...
Car doesnt seem to pull away from others as it should..A road test was done prior to handing the car back to me and mechanically all was sound.
Maybe i'm just beng an ar$e..

Who did the remap?
Have you scanned the ECU since?

Hi Footlong - Grizz done the remap. Not scanned the ECU since.

Are you far away from Unit 20? It could be you possibly imagining it or a mild random blip in the map or an ancillary could have failed post map. Martin will genuinely want to know/help sort out any potential problem so I would give him a buzz to discuss and if you have
VCDS, scan her and have results ready to send to him if anything is on there.

Good idea mate...I am in Glasgow...my friend can carry out a scan and I will see what happens..
Its hard to explain, but the only way I could try is that it took me until 110 plus to shake off a honda civic type r... there was no (excuse techincal phrase!) wooooft...lol

Hmmm, intercooler pipe can pop off randomly. Which turbo gaskets? How about MAFs?
VaginaCOM the car, neow!

Bam - what error codes are we looking for when I do the scan??
Full health check was done by Unit 20, tbh - no idea what turbo gaskets, its just a line in the invoice.

Yep, I suspected I had a problem with 1 of my MAFs until I ran rolling diagnostics and could see the difference in flows between the 2 according to duty cycle on the engine. Reseated the MAF housings once or twice and pretty well corrected the problem. That was post a visit from MRC so even the pros sometimes have niggled reseating the fussy seals dead on when doing it half-blind.
Capt, just run a full autoscan on the A6 4B/C5 chassis (I always turn the radio off and the climate control off first but that's just me, wait for 5 mins or so until all the tests are complete, copy the contents to a text document after reviewing for good measure and then send the details off to Grizz or paste them up here after removing the VIN number for example if you want.
Trust me, if errors are there, you will see them and they are fairly self-explanatory, as in they will tell you exactly what type of sensor they are etc.

Although the following doesn't cover all of your findings (after 25 odd mph in your case).some remaps actually make the car slower when pulling away from standstill ,
Revo is one of them. It's to help reduce wheel spin and load on the drive train when 500 odd horses are let loose .
Mines slower than a standard 6 at take off, even Doug at MRC commented on it.
What BHP does your remap claim to give ?. Does Grizz have a rolling road ?
As Footers said, the
VCDS log is fairly self explanatory , so you will know as soon as you see it

I believe it is a REVO remp. It is meant to bring it close to 500bhp.
I have asked for the graphs of the dyno runs.

Ah, if it a Revo stage one then it is one of those "plug & go" generic flash jobs almost, aka a shotgun remap (imo of course) that should be a good fit on the majority of that particular model. Revo stage 2 looks like a bespoke map where they analyse your particular engine characteristics and map accordingly.
Might be talking balls about Revo stage 1, don't think I am?

Footlong - it is the remap advertised on the Unit 20 website.
