RSN-E Advice
RSN-E Advice
If you upgrade a RSN-D to a RSN-E on a 2004 RS6, do you still get to see the Sat Nav instructions in the middle of your instrument cluster?
Re: RSN-E Advice
yes, you will see it. You'd probably have to recode the cluster with the VCDS, though it might work as it is considering you already have the RNS-D and the cluster should already be coded for this feature!

Yep mine works, although I can't tell you if you need to tinker in VCDS as my car had this already done when I bought it.
2003 RS6 Avant, non res Miltek, 3" catless dps, wagners, MRC air filters, 044 fuel pump, MRC custom remap, TCU remap, 566ps, 812nm, pss9 coilovers, hotchkis rollbars, Recaro CSs, 390mm front discs, hi-spec 4 pot rear calipers.
Re: RSN-E Advice
mine had the upgrade when i bought it and the directions work fine on the dis, althogh it has to be said that when it comes to roundabouts the dis is total <beep> it never seems to give you the right number of exits so i just look at the main screen as it sent me acropper more than once but the rest of the time its great and really modernises the interior

i don't want to be a thread hijacker here, but can i just ask one question!
i'm looking at the led rnse on the bay, am i right in saying that the a3 led rnse is exactly the one i need, and i just have to change over the current faceplate i have, and then recode it for an a4?
its the next upgarde on the list!

I used to own a 6, now I'm just a lurker!

Great, Thanks for the replies everyone.

You need to make sure that you get the CAN Hi - Low sorted or it'll not work very well at all. Mr Footlong has the details in his repo, check out his signature.
