Any way to improve seat support?

So the missus banged her head (quite hard) on the passenger window last night while I was going around a roundabout.

The thing is I wasn't even pressing on; it was just a gentle left-right but she was checking her phone so she wasn't expecting it.

My C5's on coilovers but I think the problem is with the seats. We had similar issues in my old B5 RS4 and the seats look identical or at least very similar.

She's quite petite; the hip and torso supports don't hold her in place at all. When I go round corners she just rolls up the edge of the seat and straight into the window.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering if it can be resolved with a booster seat or if I'll need to replace the seat with something grippier.

It might seem like a minor issue but she's threatening to make us go in her Skoda in future if I can't make the RS any more comfortable.

i think the only real way would be to put bucket seats in as the seats are not good if you are of slimmer build you might get an upholserer that could beef up the side bolsters

It's been a problem to some extent in all my cars because she's so bloody small but it's never been quite this bad.

Have you adjusted the seatbelt shoulder level correctly for her? Sounds as though it is set too high so she is sliding about.

I think I'm going to get a CG-Lock for mine. I slide around in the seats, too. Not enough support for my liking.

No, not midget small. She's 5' 4" which isn't that short; the main problem is that she's narrow so there are big gaps between her and the seat bolsters. (Can a person be narrow? You know what I mean.)

my wife is of similar build and when i had the B5 RS4 with similar seats all she did was brace her fet in the foot well to try and stop sliding which i think had varying results

I sent her a few pictures of those harnesses. "F*ck off," was the response.

This is what she does most of the time but if we're doing a three-hour journey (as we were yesterday) she said she doesn't want to have to brace herself for every corner and roundabout.

^^ Forgot about these... Don't have one myself but I know many folk that swear by them for track driving in road cars. Well worth investigating as they definitely help.
