In the right colour with the right wheels they look nice, wouldn't have one though.
But if it means you get what you want too then why not.

Re: what the forum has become
Got a few months of posts to catch up on, so apologies if already answered elsewhere, but regarding the TPMS...MEV wrote:Is there a easy way to check if the tpms are working apart from the obvious....?
Always consider 'obvious' as being quite subjective... but, from memory...
1. First, make sure you've got the TPMS sensors actually installed! (Really is an obvious one, but included for completeness). Aluminium valves rather than average rubber ones, and a heap of balance weights on the opposite side of the wheel makes it highly likely that the actual TPMS module is in place (although not necessarily functioning).
2. From the DIS, tick the box to turn the TPMS on, and 'initialise' it to set it all in motion - after a few miles/restarts, it will soon start beeping at you and throwing a few symbols up if it's not working correctly (such as the batteries are flat within one or more of the units). If the menu option has been removed from the DIS altogether, then you'll need to jump to the next point anyhow.
3. Use VCDS (aka VAG-COM) to interrogate the TPMS system (think it's module 67... again, completely from memory). From 'measured values' (I think it's called), you can extract lots of info from the units, if they're communicating - such as which modules are/aren't working, estimated battery life remaining, pressure reading, temperature (I think), and some others...
Main bit of course being which on which corner the modules are/aren't working, and how much battery life is remaining in those that are (so that you know how many you may need to replace now, or in the not too distant future, to get it all working again!).
4. Failing all that... if you ever have the tyres off, check the manufactured date stamp on the sensors themselves - if they were made (and, potentially, installed) 5 or more years ago, then there's a very good chance that the integral battery has since expired, so the unit will need to be replaced.
Anyhow, sorry for the lengthy reply, but hopefully somewhere within it all is some useful info!
