I'll organise it; there will be one of three boxes to tick on the order form.
  • [ ] I would like my OEM gearbox bombproofed
    [ ] I would like a manual conversion
[ ] I'll have a go on that curvy redhead chained up in the corner (just think Christina Hendricks wrapped in PVC)
My paypal details are to follow very soon. I'm just posting a bounty for Tozo to be delivered to the UK, alive, of course.
Can someone start a groupbuy?

Some of that is not a bad idea at all...

What did you have done to your converter Bam? I went with a slightly higher stall speed as Andre recommended it.

If i pay extra options 1 and 3 please :bigblink:

Well I've found out I'm going to be positioned in California for at least six months to a year with work, I'm now serously thinking about taking the plus out there with me. You can chuck your gearbox in the boot, they won't pay for my car to be taken across.

You really want to take a RHD, non soft top car out there??? Yes yes I know the climate isn't amazing all the time out there but still, seems like a buttloaf of flaff and people will think why the hell has this bloke gone to all the trouble to bring over a car that is set up for the wrong side of the road. If you are looking at going out there for that period of time then maybe it really is time to sell her and when you come back look at things again and perhaps go with that RS4 you hanker for.

What dk said. The US can be seriously backwards about some things and trying to register a UK spec car there, especially in CA, would not be very high on my list of fun things to do before I die.

Plenty of cool cars out there. And cheap, too. Grab yourself a 66 mustang and drive a car that's twice your age. Sorry, 3 times :)

Scarily moving back towards the gearbox issue these guys are near me and although I don't know them but heard of them via previous cars I have owned and modded - seem to know their onions!

Wonder how much it would cost in r&d to produce a solution for the zf slush (fund) box

What Quaife don't know about Gearboxes and Diffs probably isn't worth knowing. I have lusted after bits from them in the past but never managed to destroy a tranny (actually I did with the first scoob, had 3 tranny swaps in a year!)

Well glad I did not embarrass myself because your modding history is considerably more comprehensive than mine (although pretty bad form until you moved away from pug's)
Seriously though I reckon I would probably pay double for a box that could take the torque and ponies of a modded 6, I reckon they could sell maybe 20 a year...
Maybe I will pop in and proposition them!

You shouldn't have to register the car if you're there on essentially a working holiday. Should be fine.
