Shall we go for it together and see if we can get them to at least honour the misquoted £150 inspection charge, in return they get two warranties instead of one ? Anyone else want to join in and increase our bargaining power?

They paid out for Mooch's heads. I'm sure they were 5k and his gearbox and turbos and Grizz recommends them, so thats good enough for me, sounds like they pay out and we can go to U20/MRC and not have to stick to Audi like mondial... Our C5s shall live on!! I'm going for 36 months. Also getting cambelt and 40k service. Ouch ouch and triple ouch you guys weren't kidding when you said running 6s ain't cheap. :kissmyrings:

I need to get my belt dome first too. My cars not moving until November so I might even be slower at getting it sorted then you. Anyone else want in on this before I contact Swindon Audi again?

Just read this thread, all very interesting. I had looked at Warranty Direct, but was seriously put off with the negative posts I found.

The Inchcape warranty looks good, my car had its first service at an Audi main dealer in Cornwall, and the rest of it has been done by an Audi main dealer in Newcastle. Am I right to assume that Inchcape would still charge me for an independant inspection as it hasnt been serviced at one of their Audi centres?

Also are there any issues me getting Unit20 to service it rather than an Audi dealership.

Cheers,

Yes they need to inspect it themselves....servicing can be anywhere.

Thanks for that. Is 0844 5738053 still the best contact number for them for purchasing this?

Excellent thread - phoning them tomorrow as Ive just parted with a fortune fixing mine - the thought of paying another expense over £10k scares the cr4p out of me.

The Inchcape warranty price seems to be escalating rather rapidly. I've just been quoted from their Stockport office:-

1 Yr - £1199
2 Yr - £1999
3 Yr - Didnt have, is getting back to me with this.

This does include the inspection though.
