I had a major stress bleeding the brakes on mine last year. Slag me off if you like but the problem was the stupid strainer/filter that is in the master cylinder resivour, causing me to think that the m/c was full when it was in fact drawing air. Hence I was getting air all the time out of the brakes until one of my mates ripped out the strainer thing, 10mims later brakes all ok.

Had exactly the same problem...the filter mesh is way to fine

Thanks guys. I totally agree on the prefilling but sadly I wasn't the one fitting them. Can't sleep for the 2nd night in a row so about to go beat the hell out of the gym and I will be sitting at the place waiting for the guys to arrive and will take charge of getting this done as i need to get the car back here asap for the radio to be fitted this morning......

Noted about the reservoir filter, I tend to remove them too when doing this.

That's the nice thing about the pressure bleeder... doesn't make any difference if you've got the mesh there or not. Level in there stays the same.

Says in the procedures that you need at least 2bar of pressure to bleed the brakes.

The eezibleed instructions say put no more of 1.5 bar of pressure through it, or something. D'oh!

I use a spare tyre from one of my other cars that I've pumped up to about 2.1 bar. Works fine.

Yipee, not just me with curbed wheels then.

Good luck today Nicholas. Don't pressure the guys too much as i know what it can be like, more chance of something going wrong!

Dunc, if they can get me to the point where I at least get something resembling braking I will limp home myself and sort it. Will advise the 2 bar Shopp.

I think the pressure limit on the eazibleed is due to the bottles and seals not being able to take much. On my old car I used an old reservoir cap that obviously fits perfect and you can use higher pressures. Having said that I still had problems at the beginning. Attaching it all and then seeing half a litre of Mobul RBF 660 pour out onto the floor isn't fun.

All done. Got there just before 8 and stuck the bleeder on. Blew the bubbles out in no time flat as you expect. Sadly the paint job on the calipers is appearing to have really been rushed as I feared as some of it has been eaten away by stray fluid yesterday...

I am going to do a re-bleed all round after NHN does the radio in a while so I can be absolutely certain it has been done right, then clean the car a bit as the tyre fitting place has just covered it all over in shat again :(. Sadly the half finished detail really shows but heyho.

Scary to think that I will be meeting some of you weirdos face to face tomorrow. ;)

Ahhh yes, a Cabal, it is a funny experience. I've lined up a PAX to pimp out for anyone wanting to take an excitable girl/woman on the track. She's a party girl so she might stay on for the Gala. I spent more time organising her than I did my car!

I have no idea what you are on about but I expect to be impressed by a total excess of exposed cleavage (not yours thanks).

NHN is here and is having great fun ripping out the NON-factory as it turns out, handsfree setup. Really nice guy. I have talked myself into upgrading the RNS-E to the latest gen one. NHN is going to try to do the work today, denying hmself a headunit from his S3 in the process.

Who has 2 thumbs, is a <beep> and is parted with money far too easily? THIS GUY RIGHT HERE. Madam isn't best pleased as I rang her to say that she might be driving up to the hotel herself and I would join her as & when.

Great news that it is almost all done. I would love the chance to just wash mine before tomorrow but no chance. Could do with a bloody shave and expose my slap head even further.

Sadly I cracked my tartan helmet falling over for no reason too many times, assuming a helm of lose is needed on track. Mate, mine is minging now and has one shiny and one dull side so I really wouldn't worry! Will do my best to get you madam to get you splashing the cash.

Mine isn't amused but I have just splurged out on Eagles all round on her R and an alignment this morning.
