But a '6 on broken DRC will kill you, and not just a flesh wound.

So heres the latest dilema Im in....shes been in Auudi for over 3 weeks having a few things done and rectified whilst im pottering about in a rather well speed new 12 reg A6 3l TDi which I have to say is superb in every way apart from the lack of any noise! ........anyway I know my Control unit for the DRC is gone or rather has a small leak and they have quoted it would have normally costed £1900 to replace ( 6 hrs labour etc etc) but have managed to get me ( allegedly) this loyality customer waever which is a contribution from UK Audi and from the local dealer which knocks the total cost down to £770. It bares in mind amount I have spent recently and in the past, age of car mileage etc...... :boohoo: Now im obviously thinking of when to go to Pss9's... or not but know they are going to cost me £1700 to fit at MRC. I will be warranty covered on both the current dampers (for 6 months) and the control unit for 2 years. So I think im going to have it done and ride the shockwave of abuse albeit I like the DRC set up and when the warranty comes close to an end upgrade to Bilsteins from there. What do thing on the figures chaps? Is that ballpark in your experience? Im kinda pleased with the customer service if it is genuine and they are not trying to shaft me. Cheers for any input. :)

That price is complete bollocks. 1900 for one controle valve? Pull the other one, it's got bells on it.

Speak to Grizz (Martin) at Unit 20 who can repair your DRC.

Part is bloody expensive. £1k retail.

Still, £900 for labour sounds a bit excessive.

Or you could get some used ones for 2p and have them recharged. :)

Yep cheers! :) I think the original quote has been inflated to make the deal they have offered look v good! Im not sure its to bad though... I could go for the used ones but then would be no warranty on the part. £700 odd gets me a new control valve and 2 years of sort of cover from Audi then it sounds like still an ok deal.. it would cost me that amount to get up to Grizz :) but MRC are fairly close for the coilovers which I suppose are inevitable within the next 6-12 months... It gives me a little more time to add a few other things to a list whilst shes in there perhaps... jesus life with a 6 is not easy the 4 was so much user friendly!!!
