By the way, Audi also quoted me £20ish a month for the Audi service plan. Covers all servicing bar belts and discs/wiper blades etc. They have surly quoted me an A6 1.8T price by mistake, but I have it in writing. My next two services for £480 (yes both - not each) plus the next one is the big 40k... :jump:

It can be set by Audi with a VAGCOM so it becomes a customer preference thing, IMO the shorter the better.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Mines every year or 10k miles. Changing the oil every 5k myself won't hurt though I suppose in between Audi/U20/MRC servicing.

10000 miles. No more, no less.

The instrument cluster is used in other A6 platform cars, so can be set to variable intervals or even, God forbid, long life. Which as we all know means anything but.

If your car doesn't have set intervals then someone's played silly buggers with it.

Mine's 10k or 12 months, whichever comes first.
The MMI appears to automatically work it out for you in remaining miles by extrapolating based upon average mileage since the last service.
So, say you average 6k miles a year... 2 months after it's service, 'check service' from the MMI will show just 5k miles until the next service is due (if that all makes sense!). :bash:
