Hmm, I wasn't aware of the both swap and swop co-existing, learn something new every day. Still I doubt you got the "British" variant deliberately darling ;)

Yup, the RS6 is a good choice. It's tough traveling a long way to see cars. You've always got that pressure to buy. You don't want to buy a dog, but there's always that chance that you might get a pants one.

Unusually no one seems to be selling at the mo on the forum. Won't be long though, no doubt. It's no guarantee that it'll be a trouble free car, but at least you can get a bit of a gauge of how the DPO is.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper
"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair."

Well, it certainly wasn't spent at fashion school lol xx but fair point darling. I was properly schooled too but loathed English, bored me to tears.

I totally agree about the hassle of travelling to hell & gone looking at cars, you have to resist the urge to just buy it, something I don't always resist...

When ever did pandas attend a fashion school unless bamboo and panda grooming has now be come fashionable? I hate the brush as it rips my fur out in clumps and then gives me a rash!

[quote="Mathmos"]unfortunately they are getting on a bit and they are now affordable to Chavs -
quote]

See that there ^^^^^^^, that's why there are soooo many sh1te ones out there at the moment. If you spend £20k on making the car fast yet only spend £300 on a set of tyres, you have only made the car fast for bragging rights/ penis waving contests! If you were going to keep the car then you would do everything right. You only have to read the posts of the guy's/ gal who have gone for big power on here to see that they were going to keep the cars, things have been done correctly (apart from cryptics tyres :bash:).
As has already been said, sadly most cars around the c5 age will have problems, just these cars were close to £60k when built so are expensive to repair. Even if the car has had no faults, doesn't mean it won't just after you buy it, same goes for a car that's had loads spent on it. Question is, DO YOU FELL LUCKY, WELL DO YOU PUNK?
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

If there's a rash you're brushing in the wrong area.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I think for the price my car is right. Most things sorted, always will have something crop up from time to time when jumping into one of these. Saw two boxes go on *desperate cars... Nasty.
My main *boggles were the little scratches and scraps on the bumper and sills but have decided to get these taken care of next week so will not irritate me any more or perhaps the new owner.
I got PM, long list, been working so going through it.. Bear with

*Edit: Separate cars, faxing ifonies
*Edit secondary: niggles... :| predictive
