Personally, I am not fussed whether you want to discuss your concerns in private or on here. Do whatever you want Si. I am not going to get annoyed. The others may feel differently though.

I would have had your setup had the setup been slightly different and the price slightly different. If it doesn't work then it's only money and was a fun experiment.

I won't post it up, but if you want to hear what our brake guys raised please do PM or I'm open to take a call.

Please believe me when I say I understand on price very well, I'm a RS owner and enthusiast (a skint one too) , and I really hope your idea work out for you guys.

And I don't make a cut on any sale to be clear to all.

Yep happy for any feedback. At the end of the day whatever the comments, they are purely opinions. The opinion of the company who fabricated this setup to our requirements ( and primarily make bespoke setups for motorsport) was that a thicker disc would be better suited to our requirements. We could have opted for 34mm, but 36mm with maximum pad sweep seemed to make the most sense to all.

The rotors are indeed made from Alcon casts and the company is a manufacturer of discs for both Alcon and AP, so I would suggest they know a little about discs.

As has been said, the main concern was getting the most optimised setup for road use at the best price. Weight is a little more than other alerntives, but still lighter than OEM, which is plenty good enough for us.

Anyway, all this conjecture is perhaps a little premature. Give us a chance to get 'em on our cars and give 'em hell before a verdict is given. Who knows, this could be an expensive mistake for us... But I doubt it! ;)

Mart.

Tick tock until ADI ladies.

Laser alignment with confirmed RS6 spec settings done this morning.
MOT passed flawlessly this morning.
Rear bumper removed and resprayed last week to remove slide in/out scuffs from previous life.
Full detail being carried out all day Wednesday/possibly Thursday too.
RNS-E being fitted on Thursday.
Probably, probably, having the mirrors converted from silly manual fold to electric fold on Thursday too. Depends on the final price and whether or not NHN can do it before Friday.
New custom discs going on and hopefully staying on ;).
New C6 calipers being resprayed in silver with Brembo decals as I type this.

Still soooooo much left to do to this car, I am so lucky to have an extremely understanding other half.

Hell no, I need Wagners, turbos, manifolds if possible and a custom Level 10 box with the "torgues" turned up to 11. Expecting that work to be the later half of next year though really.

I'll be lucky to wash mine before ADI too, even if I get the chance it'll probably be in the dark and/or rain.

That all sounds like exciting stuff, Footers. Have you thought about where you are going to get the Manifolds made up from? Turbos from Loba? Details as and when.
