I am going to say 2nd gen mr2 on import hence year - you have started me on something here and as you know I am just moving house so should not be looking at cars but so many I want... Not only a track toy but loving my late 80's to mid 90's at the moment - have a particular hankering for an Alfa SZ and a surprise hankering after a lotus Carlton - shame they are now both 20-30k cars :boohoo:

Would you consider buying a project car - something lightweight that you could slide a motorbike engine in? Know your pretty handy with the spanners!!

I bet the farm on it being an MR2, based on the rear window more than anything. Really commonly used for these types of conversions.

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

Gone:

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm
12' Cayenne Turbo, B7 RS4, S3, Cupra R, XJR, EVO VII, STI8,5,2&WRX, 106 GTI&XSI, other crap.

Alfa could be a laugh. Friend of mine just finished building this:

http://www.alfaholics.com/our-cars/comp ... r-replica/

He broke it in at Donnington the other day. Properly quick on the track (a lot of that is down to the driver).

I can't be bothered with something that's too much hassle. Plus I want it to be road legal, so that limits the extremities of the mods that I can do.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)

Ben, I run a 650bhp mk2 mr2 as a road legal track toy and I haven't yet found anything of the era more capable.

They'll run 300 BHP with a few in expensive tweaks all day everyday and the engine internals are good for 400bhp if you wanted to change the turbo, injectors ecu etc...

Plenty of leg room and a great driving position. Being mid engine they need to be kept in line but in good hands they'll whip most porkers and Ferrari's of that age. Mine will do the first 10th of a quarter mile straight on it's two rear wheels and will embarrass a lot ok 100k exotica.

Had it over 5 years, never lost any fluids or had a leak in its life. Was even my daily running 410bhp for 3 years and it's about to come out when the rain goes away so I can fit my new F1 Stack Dash with carbon Sard surround :boots:

Anyone interested in seeing some pics?

I was raving to Bam about a Mk MR2 as a track car but no idea where that went tbh. Regarding driving position, Shopp is pretty well dead on the same height as me and I was pretty damn cramped in my Mk2 MR2 Tubby, albeit I was a lot wider at the time but headroom was non-existent for me.

Congrats on the successful sprog drop. I have a witnessed deal that I made with madam. She absolutely cannot stand vomit but I have no problems with it. However, I have zero interest in dirty nappies so I will be dealing with all the puke and she will be dealing with all the nappy changes. Witnessed or not, I don't see her sticking to her side of the deal......
