INCHCAPE Warranty? Anyone have it/heard of it?

bit of confusion on this thread, but it seems the jist of it is you can only get it at the point of buying the car (new or used) from an Inchape dealer....or take it to them and get them to an inspection and even then they may only allow you to have it if the car has been a regular of theirs

and then, there's talk of them not covering DRC and only having a labour cost of £55ph...

if your car is known to the delaership and has a long service hx with them, they will likely offer it to you.

They covered the DRCs for me, and whatever the pay for per hour, you are not liable for any of the labour costs.

Mooch, how many miles had you covered when you took out the INCHCAPE warranty? Sorry, I KNOW I'm a warranty hater but £850 over three years PLUS getting the Grizz to complete all works just seems tooooo good to be true!

got it when i bought thr car bam bam. I asked if i could renew it and ccp (the warranty holders) said i would need to go thru audi to get it... so have not tried.....

Ok, I've rang a few Inchcape dealers today and I'm just waiting for some calls back - will update you all later

Ok here is the news,

You can put it on a car not supplied by the dealer but it needs to undergo a two hour inspection at a cost of £211.50p, than the policy is 12m @ £799 or 24m @ £999.

I have requested policy documents and when they arrive I'll let you know more

There are two levels of cover. Get the better one.

That price is for level "A" and includes the recovery package - I'm chuffed to bits

(They also offer level B but that's for cars above 60k or 5 years old and covers far less)
