There's a non-engine out fix for that 20p oil leak now, 'racmics were probably my fault and the bearings are relatively cheap, niggles. :)

Was around $300 odd dollars plus the customs man and spare tc to send to and back to America.

However I and along with everyone else who does this to a c5 probably never imagines selling it.

Lol, exactly how I read it Chunk. My C5 is feeling very tired and sorry for herself. Due to the ongoing house buying saga, I had to do the last service on her myself as well as the 4 to save money short term and something is clonking a bit on the front when doing 3 point turns etc so I am not really driving her at all at present.

Once house is sorted I will sort her again but I am expecting a huge bill :(

no probs... i have a spare TC that i can sell which had no issues when i took it out (my gearbox had clutch pack issues)... considered sending it to Ace myself and trying to sell it but then someone might want to do that themselves so they know 100% its a Ace one. I think Amanda was selling her old one from Ace following a 517Trans overhaul. Either way if your going to get the gearbox done and plan on keeping the car you'll be in the situation of where to draw the line in doing other things while the engine is out.

Good luck with it though
