Just to add as an update to what has been done to the car now (for people subscribed to this thread but haven't seen the Interior LED one), I have been chopping out all the interior and numberplate lights for much nice LED ones. I am also set to butcher the 8 door lights with LEDs that I will be soldering in like I did with the glovebox one. Link to the work done so far starts from here - http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 15#p503895 - Pics from page 3 and some more on 4.

Thanks to Ringo, I have a HID upgrade kit on the way from HIDS4U to replace the H7 full beam lights with something far more powerful :FIREdevil:

H7 55w Pro Max Xenon HID Conversion Kit
Options:
Colour Temperature: 5000K
Bulb Type: Reflector H7R
£104.81 including delivery

That was including a discount code provided by Ringo - STRATHY - No idea about the life on that code. Quidco also provide 10% cashback if you go through them or 5% cashback when done in conjunction with that code.

I dislike the Mintex more and more with every trip as I get more and more used to this girl and increase my level of acrobatics with her (do actually mean acrobatics, not just blatting a bit in a straight line ) Combined with these these Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres sticking like poo to a blanket, I will find myself increasingly in situations where I have to have brakes I can have total faith in. I really must get around to buying another car I can set up for as much 4wd drifting as possible........

My Ohlins (going back a good 8 years iirc) were veeeeeeery nice. Didn't have gadgety external reservoirs etc that I can remember but gave a very good (firm!) ride. Can't remember much more than that.

Found this XP10 review from the Lancer Register forums - http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=156045

Lighter car but still. I am seriously thinking about doing it properly and sticking these on the front and the back. Seriously thinking about, normally means going to buy 9 times out of 10 so I will keep you guys posted once I get around to it :)

Ok, emailed Carbotech Uk and the guys there have been very, very helpful but I asked for a quote for XP10's front and rear and the price that has come back made Jebus weep. They also seem to think that the XP8's may be a better fit for me but going on the character differences between the 2 I would stick to my guns and go with the 10's. The prices aren't astronomical, but they are serious money for serious pads people!

I loved this from the email I got "I think XP8 would probably be better for you than XP10, i tend to think of XP10 more for the trackday or people driving liking absolute loons on the road :-)" confirmed, that'll be the 10's for me then :D

If anyone wants to get details of pricing examples I was given then feel free to PM me with an email addresses and I will forward on the email with all the details on :).

Nope, I can't go any wider on the front mate , not having any more arch rubbing than I am tolerating already and even when I get the arches rolled, if I then space out for the C6 brakes I will be back to square one. The rears scrub under a loaded boot too as is and I would have to space to match of course. Will run some of these and go bespoke build most likely for the brakes when I finally get around to it like I did with the Wilwoods back in the day. I would really want to upgrade the rears at the same time. If not for performance then for aesthetics as they are god awful ;)

Right, after the arches going "scuff scuff scuff" while 4 up in the car yesterday, I am booking out those Arch Enemy chaps next week and will let people know how they get on with her and if they do just the fronts or all 4 arches.

Have you had the wheels off to see where the tyres are scrubbing?
You might find some contact has been made with the inside liner. What then?
No matter where you go, there you are.

If it is then c'est la vie and I will deal with it accordingly if possible but the fact is that the front arch bolts were rubbed clean before I removed them so I am pretty certain they are fouling at that point regardless of anywhere else. If I have to pay £90 or so for them to come down and say they can't fix my problem then one of those things. I don't have the luxury of any free time at all currently and shouldn't have been pissing about with those damned LEDs but once I start something........

Right, got the LED kit fitted by Bannings in Guildford today. Some of you may think the kit is very good/rate it highly but I am quite 'meh' over the results tbh but I am always comparing them to my monster PIAA driving lights that were a factory upgrade on my old STI5. With uprated bulbs in these I have never seen anything come remotely close to the power of those lamps. Details about the HID kits start on the following link: http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 78#p502549

The pattern is a little bit all over the place IMO but not offputting. I will be securing the nearside ballast slightly better to tomorrow.

Clearly a big improvement. I'd want the ballasts hidden though, behind the bumper if possible. The only thing that throws me is that the RS6 comes as standard with Bi Xenons according to every brouchure/price list I have from 2002 :?

I am not a tart about the engine bay though and I don't have any massive faith in the ballasts so if/when they go wrong it is easy to sort them. If it were a Ferrari where the bonnet was see through then yes but it isn't. Plus, if I had paid a buttload more to have the bumper off etc to have them stuck in there to get the results I got then I wouldn't have been happy at all ;).

They can always be m,oved after they prove their reliability and I have to have the bumper off for an actual reason.
